Welcome to TUFF, involving competitive women doing submission wrestling and other fighting. We have modified our style of fighting to make sure no one gets hurt. It is real, rough, competitive, and none of the women like to lose. The women are trained ongoing in a mix of boxing, judo, grappling, submission wrestling, and more. They use headlocks, scissors, stretches, smothers, and other finishing moves to defeat their opponent.  TUFF women some from all backgrounds - some are fitness athletes, personal trainers, former college or high school athletes, but some are just women who hit the gym or just have an interest in learning wrestling and overall fighting.  There is no specific or ANY athletic background required to be a TUFF woman. 

The women fight hard, but are not at risk of the types of injuries prevalent in UFC and other MMA combat sports. This is NOT jello, oil, mud, posed, or WWE-type choreographed wrestling action...nor is it fake or predetermined. In the studio, our matches vary in rules and roughness, based on the experience and rules agreed upon. We usually wrestle to a tap-out, but you may see occasional matches with pins involved. We match the women by experience, size, and talent.

We do live shows in the Virginia Beach/Norfolk/Hampton Roads area, about every 8 weeks. Our live wrestling matches are real female amateur submission wrestling /grappling, sanctioned by the International Sports Combat Federation, which sanctions UFC and other MMA fighting.
