TUFF 09033, Bria vs Em, 2 out of 3 Falls Submission Grappling Middleweight Title Match - 50 Minutes
This is the rematch we'd all been awaiting after the outside battle (TUFF09031) that left neither fighter satisfied. After some disparaging talking back and forth online, the tension was high for this Middleweight Title match. Em (pink top) is already a great TUFF fighter with incredible leg movement and lots of strength from her former soccer days. Bria (purple) is a great technical TUFF fighter, who practices a lot and has fallen in love with combat sports. This battle was easily as good if not better than the Fox-Kalie fight, more technical, just as intense, with a lot of infighting, scissors, stretches, and incredible mat action. The crowd loved this battle, and it was a shame one girl had to lose. It took all 3 falls, and down to the very end either girl could have won. This rivalry is just beginning, and the two fighters will have incredible rematches as TUFF moves forward. ONE OF THE BEST matches we've filmed!

TUFF 09032, Fox vs Kalie, 2 out of 3 Falls Submission Grappling Light Heavyweight Title Match - 50 Minutes
Fox (green top) is one of the toughest fighters to ever come to TUFF. Her fight with Lizzie (TUFF 09029) was a rough, 30 minute classic, one of the roughest we've had. But this one TOPS IT. Kalie (orange top) is a new TUFF fighter, who brings an intense never-quit attitude and the toughness to match. Rough? See for yourself. She attacks Fox with a vengeance, and is not intimidated whatsoever by Fox' high school wrestling and grappling background. This match goes all three falls, and at one point Fox is laying helpless on the mat in pain after an incredible maneuver by Kalie. We have never seen anyone go after Fox like this. Fox, of course, doesn't back down, and it takes 35 minutes just for someone to tap out for the first submission. Like all TUFF girls, these two like each other off the mat, but on the mat, they fight with an intensity we've never seen. They both like to fight rough, the rougher the better, and the crowd was alive and electric throughout this match. They both enjoy handing out punishment, and thrive on showing what they could take from each other. At various times they broke holds and got to their feet to resume the battle standing up. The longer they fought, the more intense it got. An amazing TUFF fight. And a rematch and rivalry to come.

TUFF 09031, Bria vs Em, 3 out of 5 Falls Fighting with MMA Gloves, Body Punching, Submission Grappling - 20 Minutes
This is another one of the roughest matches we've filmed. Both girls are evenly matched, being over 5'8 tall and weighing about 145. Bria had seen Em's fight with Val outdoors (09028) with MMA gloves. Bria loves to hit, and we decided to do an identical match since you loved 09028. Bria also asked if they could kick, and Em agreed, although only below the waist. Kicking only occurs a few times, but it's a new twist for us and we like it. Basically, Em is another athlete we've found who just loves to fight. You can see her confidence and skill has grown, as has Bria's. The two really go at it, and the question as to whether our rules about not hitting in the face can produce rough fights and striking submissions is answered in this video. One of the girls was bruised more than a week after the fight from a painful striking submission.
The other thing this fight did is set up an incredible rivalry, as the loser was not happy at losing. And, if you follow our clips on youtube, you know that the girls have been trash talking each other in the comments. They will fight on Sep 19 in the Live Event for the TUFF Middleweight Title, grappling only, and you can feel the tension between them. There is no love lost between these two incredibly well-matched rivals, and you will truly enjoy this video. The girls also do flexing before the fight, and there's a great shove to begin the fight after the stare down.

TUFF 09030, Jess vs Bria, 1 Fall Submission Grappling - 9 Minutes
You have made us one of the most popular sports channels on youtube, with over 7 million views. You have responded to the Lizzie - Fox fight incredibly, and that video has broken our record for the most downloads of a new video in the first 48 hours since it went up on our TUFF website. So, here's a long look at another incredible new TUFF fighter, Jess (blue TUFF top). Jess is a member of a collegiate rowing/crew team, and is an intense competitor. We met at the Beach Wrestling tournament, and she wanted to get involved. She has been to a handful of practices, and had no prior fighting experience. Today at practice she made a big leap, and we were fortunate to film it. She is 5'3, 130 lbs of muscle and determination. We decided to have her practice with Bria, who is 5'8 and 150 lbs, and is an experienced fighter. Bria also had no fighting experience when she started, and she has changed dramatically (as all TUFF fighters do). This turned into a 10 minute battle of strength and wills, until the brutal tap out from a pillow choke at the end that leaves both girls lying on the mat exhausted. We had enough requests from this posting on youtube that we decided to put it in the store for those of you who want to own it. Jess will be fighting in our Live Event Sep 19, and is a tremendous addition to TUFF. Bria will be fighting too, perhaps in a championship match. It's going to be an awesome show. Fox has been wrestling guys for years, and was excited to learn about TUFF. She is a carbon copy of Lizzie, also 5'6, 160 lbs of muscle and fight. When we filmed the video, we had them flex together side by side first, and it's remarkable. Fox quickly picked up some of the moves unique to the MMA / TUFF style of fighting, and was ready for her first real fight after sparring with Bria, Lizzie and Cherry in the two days previous.

We could not wait to get this video released! Val and Em squared off in TUFF 09013, in the gym, in a rough training match that left things very unsettled between the two. While they are friends, they are also fierce competitors, who don't hold anything back when they fight. They both have improved since their last encounter. Em has been training and working out on her own, while Val did the May Live Event. A rematch was in order after their last fight, and it was arranged to take place not in the gym, but outside in the back yard of one of the girls.
This is an incredibly rough fight. Both girls cry out as things get intense, and you can tell how bitterly each wants to win. They take a lot of punishment, and in the end one girl is injured and cannot continue. TUFF 09027 Laura vs Shelby, 2 out of 3 falls submission grappling - THE REMATCH 9 minutes
Beach Wrestling was over for Saturday, and Shelby was not happy with how she had been thrown around by the lighter, thinner Laura. These two had met before (TUFF 09015) and it took 7 falls before it was settled. It was the first match for both of them, so the chance to meet again with a little more experience was something they both jumped at. Laura wanted to get her hands on Shelby at the beach, and was feeling good about her chances on the mat after the grueling beach wrestling. Shelby was sunburned and sore, and her pride was wounded. So we put them together again that evening, and had them fight a two out of three falls match to help settle things. Did it? No....although there was a winner, the loser is determined to fight her again. Knowing the winner, she's going to be all for it.

The North American Beach Wrestling Championships slammed into VA Beach June 6 and 7. The women of TUFF went to the beach, and had a blast! This was their first experience, and you won't be disappointed. The fighting is different - the goal is to push or throw the girl out of the rope circle, or get her down on the sand and onto her back into a controlling position. Each is worth a point, two points wins a round, two rounds wins a match. Day 2 the men and women combined into 5 teams, with each team having a woman. All of the fighters except Jackie (who subbed in for Shelby who had to retire due to excessive sunburn) have been with TUFF. The video includes the Gold winning team displayng their medals at the end. A great time was had, and TUFF received a lot of props for the girls' ability and willingness to get sandy and rough and let it all hang out! TUFF 09024 Val vs Cherry, 2 out of 3 falls, submission grappling, May 16 09 Live Event
The Live Event kicked off on May 16 with one of the best matches of the night. Newcomer Val was matched up with Cherry, in what turned out to be quite a test for Cherry. Val is a rough, intense fighter who showed incredible courage in getting on the mats with Cherry. She fought back at every turn, and challenged Cherry over and over to step up her game. This was Val's first Live fight ever, and she accounted for herself well. Cherry has grown in experience and talent, and what perhaps she thought might be a warmup match for her Main Event against Tracey turned into a spirited battle that stretched Cherry to the limit. Val's future goal - beat Cherry. Cherry says, "bring it." This won't be the last match up between these two TUFF warriors, that is for sure. Great opening match!

Tracey comes from out of town, and spends each day in the gym getting stronger and fitter. Tracey has beaten many of the TUFF girls, but tonight she has her hands full, as she is fighting Lizzie and then later Cherry in the Main Event. But Tracey loves fighting and is fearless. TUFF 09022 Amber vs Raven, 10 minute time limit, submission grappling, May 16 09 Live Event
Amber and Raven are equally matched newcomers to TUFF, experiencing their first Live Event! Both are 5'1, and weigh close to the same. So we expected a great, muscle to muscle fight between the two. We almost made this a main event. Both are compact and strong. Raven has competitive cheerleading and gymnastics background, while Amber is just the all-around tomboy/athlete who has always wanted to fight TUFF style. The two go muscle to muscle trying to squeeze and twist the other into submission. This is a match that begs for a rematch, as it went the entire 10 minutes with only one tapout. The loser wants another piece of the winner, and the winner says bring it. Two great, typical TUFF girls...love to fight, love the crowd, and have found a sport they enjoy. This is a great video.

TUFF 09021 Bria vs Phoenix, 2 out of 3 falls, submission grappling, May 16 09 Live Event
This fight has been brewing since the two of these fighters fought outdoors at the ODU special event. Each tapped the other out at least once, and a few practice sessions got a bit rough afterwards. Also, both had something to prove in front of a live audience. Phoenix turned into a rough fighter during her Feb 21 Live Event fight with Throttle, and has been a different fighter since. Bria has been steadily improving, and was really looking forward to getting her hands on Phoenix this night. So we were ready for a rough fight, and it did not disappoint us or the fans. At one point Bria takes a blow right to the nose (inadvertent), and fights right through it. Which of the girls gets her hand raised after this one? Which one wants the rematch? Enjoy!

Laura is a new fighter to TUFF, but has a competitive athletic streak from being a high school travel fastpitch softball pitcher. She makes her TUFF Live Event debut in this match. Her other TUFF fight, versus Shelby, went 7 falls. She was originally supposed to fight Samantha, another TUFF new teenage fighter who fought Shelby at ODU, and is an equal match to Laura. At the last minute Samantha was unable to fight. Laura agreed to fight Bria, an experienced and heavier TUFF fighter. Laura was not intimidated, as she fought a larger girl in Shelby, and wanted to bring it in front of a crowd. What follows is a spirited match that had Bria on her back and Laura's fiestiness growing with each minute. A very entertaining match!

Val and Amber are both new, great finds for TUFF. Amber comes all the way from PA, while Val is in the Tidewater area. They are both strong, athletic, and fierce competitors. And they both were looking for vengeance after their earlier bouts that evening. They locked up in an epic struggle that demands a rematch. This fight took the entire 10 minutes, and featured one tap out. Val is proving to be a tenacious fighter, with her eyes on a title in her weight class. Amber wants to come back ASAP and have a rematch, and you know we will set it up. TUFF 09018 Raven vs Phoenix, 2 out of 3 falls, 7 minutes, submission grappling, May 16 09 Live Event
Phoenix is a TUFF veteran, who continues to improve. Raven is a new fighter, a bit shorter than Phoenix and lighter, but very muscular. Raven has a cheerleading and gymnastics background, and is a fitness instructor. She is strong and compact, and thrives on the crowd. These two locked up in the next to last match of the May 16 Live Event, and one was looking to avenge an earlier loss in the evening, while the other wanted to continue a win streak. It's a rookie vs veteran battle. The TUFF rookies did very well, and we're excited by the new fighters like Raven. Enjoy this great TUFF match. Two tapouts for a decisive win in this one.

TUFF 09017 Cherry vs Tracey, 10 minutes, submission grappling, May 16 09 Live Event
Cherry has become one of TUFF's best fighters. She is very quick to pick up new techniques, and is very smart on the mat. And strong. Tracey is a TUFF veteran, who has had less mat time than Cherry since she lives out of town, but loves fighting and consistently weight trains, so she's very strong, and flexible. Amazingly, these two had never fought, even in the gym. Tracey is one of the top contenders in Cherry's weight class, so it was a natural matchup to put the two together for our May 16 Main Event. And they did not disappoint us. It was quite a battle of strength and resiliency, that had the crowd excited all the time. The fight went the entire 10 minutes, with one of the girls taking the match 1 - 0. This was a great way to end a great night of fighting!

TUFF 09016 - ODU Outdoor Fights - Bria vs Phoenix, Shelby vs Samantha, Lizzie vs Phoenix, 16 minutes, 2 out of 3 falls submission grappling
The Old Dominion University Campus Chaos Band Fest was the scene of TUFF doing 3 great outdoor matches as an exhibition of our style of fighting. Despite the heat, the girls really fought hard and the video is crisp and clear. There is some band music in the background, and some emceeing as the crowd was watching something they had never seen before! Three great fights including the beginning of a new rivalry...Bria and Phoeniix.
Fight 1 - Bria vs Phoenix. Two out of 3 falls within 10 minutes, and this one required ALL THREE FALLS before one girl tapped out twice. It was hot, and they fought hard. The girl who tapped was not happy, and wants a rematch for sure.
Fight 2 - Shelby vs Samantha. Two new girls, with minimal training, but a LOT of heart. They really went at it, as they felt the adrenaline rush of fighting in front of people for the first time. And with relatives and friends in the crowd, the two really attacked each other. While not the most skilled match, their intensity and aggression makes up for it, and makes this a great fight.
Fight 3 - Lizzie vs Phoenix. Lizzie looks great, and Phoenix, although already hot and tired, puts up a great fight and forces Lizzie to resort to some new and different moves in order to fend her off. Phoenix puts up a game fight, and Lizzie continues to be one of the top TUFF girls we have.

TUFF 09015 - Laura vs Shelby, 18 minutes, 4 out of 7 falls submission grappling
We filmed a rough match between two newcomers, Laura and Shelby. Shelby got her first taste of battle yesterday at ODU at the Campus Chaos festival (TUFF 09016), and handled herself well. Laura is a willowy high school fast pitch softball pitcher, who got her first taste of training with Shelby, but could not go to ODU with Shelby that day. So they fought the next day, and the pride of being the new fighters came out. Laura was a different fighter than in her first day of training. It's amazing what a day of orientation and training will produce. Laura was a wildcat today, taking the fight over and over to her larger opponent. Shelby did not back down, and it was a memorable SEVEN FALL match. The two girls battled back and forth, with the final outcome in doubt until the final fall. They fought so rough we even had to stop at one point for a very bloody nose (although the girl wanted to keep going with blood all over her and her opponent - and the other did not want to stop either). You will really enjoy this spirited, albeit it not as skilled, match. But a great chance to see two new TUFF athletes starting out.

TUFF 09013 - Val vs Em, 13 minutes, 2 out of 3 falls submission grappling with MMA punching
Val and Em are best friends who have been standouts at TUFF training for new fighters in the past few weeks since joining. Val is 5'5, 130, while Em is 5'9, 140. Val is 18 years old, is a tough, scrappy fighter with a varied athletic background, and loves to mix it up. Em is a former soccer player who is still growing, loves fighting and, like Val, is fearless.
They both like to hit...so they've sparred in the gym with our women's MMA gloves. In some ways they remind us of Maddie and Lizzie (TUFF 08023) when they first came to TUFF. Each sparring match was special. Despite being best friends, on the mat Val and Em hold nothing back. On this day, we decided to just let them go at it, hoping we'd get the video you are now going to download. They are where Lizzie and the others were about 7 months ago...rough, intense, trying very hard, and developing their skills. And learning that they can punch HARD. And take a punch as well. This is a great video for you to buy and begin watching how Val and Em evolve as great TUFF fighters. As the fight goes longer, the girls strike each other more, as they get more frustrated and tired of each other.

TUFF 09012 - Kelli vs Kim, 19 minutes, 4 falls submission grappling
Kelli (black top), an experienced strong fighter who has taken some time off, graced the mats of TUFF this weekend for her return! You have seen her fight for ECC in the past, just like Kat has, and she has jumped into TUFF with a vengeance! She came for intense training and to fight, and she rocked at both! This is Kelli's TUFF debut on film. Watch for her action in the future! She faces Kim, who is also making her TUFF debut.
Kim (blue top) is a tall, muscular fitness model/athlete, who has had some grappling / BJJ training in the past, but has not fought in awhile. She thought TUFF would be fun...but did not expect the addictive adrenaline rush she got. Kim had a blast, did well holding her own with Kelli and some of the other girls, and will definitely be back as a future TUFF star. We can already see some great match ups for both of these new GREAT TUFF FIGHTERS! You weill enjoy this video very much

TUFF 09011 - Lizzie vs Amber, 13 minutes, 4 falls submission grappling
Newcomer Amber faces Lizzie! The video begins with some nice flexing from Amber, who has a gymnastics and martial arts background and is excited to be a part of TUFF. This is her first competitive match, and she draws Lizzie. Some great flexing from Lizzie before the match starts - awesome. Amber is 5'1, 125 lbs, whereas Lizze is 5'6, 145. But Amber isn't afraid of the bigger girl, and the two get right into it ambitiously. Amber improves as the fight goes on, and never backs down from whatever Lizzie throws at her. Lizzie looks great, and you can tell how much Lizzie just enjoys fighting, any time, anywhere. A great video for Lizzie fans, and a nice first look at another great TUFF girl, Amber.

TUFF 09010- Lizzie vs Cherry vs Phoenix, 9 minutes, 1 fall submission grappling, 3 girl tag match
The formula - 3 girls at practice, each wanting to fight, none of them wanting to sit around. So they decided they'd fight with a special rule - the odd girl out could be tagged in by EITHER girl if she were in trouble or needed a rest. It starts with Cherry and Phoenix. Phoenix really came on strong in the last Live Event vs Throttle, and she's been much rougher in the gym than ever before. The battle rages, and Lizzie gets tagged into face Cherry. These two have been rivals since the 40 minute battle in the Sept 08 Live Event, and they've just been improving ever since. They've never had their rematch, so any time on the mat for the two of them is intense. One of them actually narrowly averts tapping out by tagging in Phoenix, and she limps to the sidelines in tears after an incredibly painful leg hold you have to see to believe. She can't tag back in, she's in such pain, and it leaves Phoenix to battle the remaining girl to the finish. A MUST have for fans of Cherry, Lizzie, or Phoenix!

TUFF 09009 - DarkStar vs Lizzie, 10 minutes, submission grappling, Feb 21 09 Live Event
One word - rematch. These two incredibly skilled and determined fighters battled relentlessly for the entire time, with a tapout happening 20 seconds before time ran out. It was obvious the two really wanted to show who was better, and this match just begs for a rematch, especially one where the two combatants each hadn't already had another fight earlier in the night...both of their early fights went beyond the limit, so both were a little drained for this one. The fight pits willowy, fast, skilled and strong DarkStar against muscular, athletic, determined Lizzie. Both had many fans in the crowd, and most of the spectators were standing throughout the match. What an incredible ending to the Live Event! Both are model gorgeous, intensely competitive, and full of intensity. At one point the match turns very rough, with one girl feeling she was being held in an illegal move, which frustrated her and took the intensity up. Just a superb match of two skilled grapplers, who will surely fight again soon.

TUFF 09008 - Cherry vs Sweettart, 10 minutes + overtime, submission grappling, Feb 21 09 Live Event
One of the main events of the night, and we knew it would be good and rough. Both girls have "attitude," both are skilled, and both are on the edge, from their hair to their focused intensity. Sweettart was a competitive cheerleader for 8 years, is in the military now, and grew up streetfighting. She adores fighting for TUFF, and looks forward to every Live Event. She had started with us a year ago, left for the military, and now comes back whenever we fight. Cherry had no athletic background, had never fought before coming to TUFF, and has really blossomed in the sport..and is now, of course, an athlete. She's gotten strong from the work she does, and works hard to improve her skills. Both girls epitomize what TUFF is about. They are close in size and weight, and we were dying to see them fight. This match does not disappoint..it goes back and forth, with neither being able to get each other into a submission before the overtime. They start over, and go right after one another, knowing it was their last five minutes of the night. And it was a great last five minutes...leading to the need to put these two together again as soon as possible.

TUFF 09007 - Rhobin vs Tracey, 2 out of 3 falls, submission grappling, Feb 21 09 Live Event
Veteran Tracey vs newcomer Rhobin. The first of 3 Main Events. Both girls are strong and intense. Rhobin, new to TUFF, and new to fighting, goes right after Tracey and gets her in an incredible body stretch that would make any veteran grappler proud. Tracey uses her strength, experience, and powerful headlocks. This one got rough, and the loser the next day was dying for a rematch...which we will give her. Have you noticed that TUFF girls always want to fight each other again? No matter how old or new to TUFF they are, they just want to fight! In the gym, or at a live event, they love it. Rhobin is an incredible find. We remember when Tracey came for the first time...and she's been hitting the gym ever since, and loves to fight, and is fearless. We know these two girls will fight again...and again...the first of 3 Main Events, and a great one between two athletic and strong women.

TUFF 09006 - Phoenix vs Throttle, 10 minutes + overtime, submission grappling, Feb 21 09 Live Event
This match was another surprises of the night. This could be the video we all look back at that shows a new, more vicious Phoenix coming alive right before our eyes. At the end of the 10 minutes, the crowd DEMANDED the girls fight more, and despite there being a tapout during regulation time, the two agreed to fight into overtime until there was another tapout. We thought Throttle, after her amazing battle with DarkStar, would have an easier time with Phoenix, but that's not the case at all. Phoenix tears into her, and is relentless in her attacks. Throttle fights back, and it turns out these two are incredibly evenly matched. We think the crowd demanded the overtime because they were so impressed with the "new" Phoenix, who admitted afterwards that things changed for her somewhere in the match (we all loved it). The crowd was standing and cheering both girls on, and the excitement and intensity comes through in the video. Great match, not to be missed!

TUFF 09005 - Tracey vs Bria, 10 minutes, submission grappling, Feb 21 09 Live Event
These two battled in the December Live Event, where Bria made her debut. They hadn't had enough of each other, and one challenged the other to put the MMA gloves on for a rematch, and they fought a hard, two out of three falls battle in the gym a few weeks later, with a different outcome from the December show. They wanted each other again, as things are still not settled, and a rematch was set for the Feb 21 Live Event. Once again the match goes the entire 10 minutes, and one of the girls isn't satisfied when it's over. This match seesaws back and forth, with the strong and flexible Tracey not backing down to the ever-improving Bria. Does Bria come out on top? Does Tracey prove again to be a frustrating match for Bria? Does the rivalry finally get settled at this show? NO.

TUFF 09004 - DarkStar vs Throttle, 10 minutes + overtime, submission grappling, Feb 21 09 Live Event
This match was one of the surprises of the night. Throttle, a tough, but inexperienced fighter, makes her TUFF debut against DarkStar, in what we all thought would be a warmup for DarkStar's impending match with Lizzie. Wow, were we wrong! This match is tied 0 - 0 at the end of regulation, and it goes into overtime until one of the women taps the other out with a BRUTAL submission. Throughout the match, Throttle had DarkStar on her back and in trouble. DarkStar has to fight with all she has just to stay even with Throttle in the regulation period, as Throttle accounts for herself well. This match pushed DarkStar to the limit, as Throttle just would not quit. Throttle is very strong and solid, and she is an interesting contrast with the willowy but strong and skilled DarkStar. What we thought was going to be a good match turned out to be a great one, with the fans totally into it and the two girls refusing to quit. Finally, in the overtime, one of the girls clamps down and leaves the loser in agony, and the crowd cheering, with both girls exhausted on the mat. You don't want to miss this one!

Rules are best 2 out of 3 submissions or whomever is ahead at the end of the regulation 10 minutes. One submission decides this match, with the other girl fighting furiously to even the score and send it to overtime before regulation time runs out. Great match!

TUFF 09001 - Lizzie vs Sweettart, 10 minutes + 5 minute overtime, submission grappling, Feb 21 09 Live Event REMATCH
If you have TUFF08035, you know these two finished the Dec 13 Live Event with a rough, seesaw battle that left them both frustrated and wanting more. So, we decided we'd start the next Live Event right where they left off. Lizzie asked for this match, as she felt she had a score to settle with Sweettart. Sweettart backs down to no one, and just loves fighting. This match set the tone for the 8 matches that followed. The venue is the Holiday Inn Executive Center, VA Beach, the uniforms are new, the crowd is loud, and the women take this very seriously. All live matches are MMA sanctioned by the ISCF.
Despite Lizzie being taller and heavier, Sweettart battles her move for move as they really get fighting. Sweettart brings out the fighter in her opponents, whether its her rough style, attitude, stare-downs and facial expressions, or just how she throws herself into it. Lizzie likes it rough, the rougher the better, and she throws herself into this fight as if she has something to prove.
Know this....this rivalry is NOT settled...and there will be more to come....
